Danielle de Niese has been hailed as “opera’s coolest soprano” by New York Times. She regularly appears on the world’s most prestigious opera and concert stages, and is a prolific recording artist, TV personality and philanthropist.
The Cumnock Tryst is delighted to present her debut recital here in Scotland. In this she will perform Poulenc’s powerful one-act opera for solo voice La Voix Humaine (The Human Voice) in its piano version. Composed in 1958, it is based on the play of the same name by Jean Cocteau. There will be English subtitles.
